road works

hi all
not really relevent to any thing but it just annoys the hell out of me.
had to take van to have work carried out on it. i knew there was road works being done on my normal route so went an alternative way guess what road works. so turned off to go another way guess what, more road works.
my biggest bitch is the clowns that organize these things, you think they would do one at a time so people can go a different way and make traffic flow easier. these clowns that organize are paid good money and are supposed to be well educated but they seem to lack common sense to me.
i'll get off my soap box now.
have a nice day

Don't move to the ACT Al.... We have had a stretch of about 1 km of road being worked on for over a year with a 40 km limit on it, trouble is the way Canberra is laid out there is no alternative...

Mate have a heart they are only Council Engineers who co-ordinate these jobs and they must keep the contractors employed otherwise they will have to go tender on real jobs and then who would they get to inflate the price and pay for the end of year piss up for the select few

On the Monash freeway in Melbourne the roadworks have taken so long that the "work in progress" signs have been heritage listed...............
