Hi folks we have been taking a break from the road for a few weeks but are keen to get back on the road in time for Bathurst 1000. Can any one point me in the direction of a post re cleaning out of the water tank as I have not used it since purchasing the van. It is a jayco freedom with a typical under floor plastic tank. I have searched the forum and only came up with a post that said Dave has a really good recipe, so if any one could piont me in the right direction it would be much appreciated thanks all Mike and Cushla
Dont know about the previous info ,but an article i read in C&M recommended bi-carb soda in a few ltrs water, a couple of laps around the block to stir it up,drain & flush. We used it in the trade to clean battery terminals, works well . jim

As Jim said...............Bi-carb of soda. Ten litres of water in the tank....................One packet bi-carb...................drive it over some speed hump to stir it around. Drain..........and woohoo!! Clean tank. Takes the smell out too

I'm going for the plastic water tank, as it helps better. The green color of our plastic storage tanks of water reduces the growth of algae and blends in with the environment.
