Help

After the cherry picking is done we are heading to the Blowering dam for some fishing  and much needed R&R, can any advise me as to licences and camping and signal strenght on the edge of the dam, any ideal spots for a few weeks ,
Victorian seniors dont need one but am unsure of NSW
Have all I need for free camping so not fussed about power, etc

No fishing licence if your under 18 and if you hold a disability pension card eg; DVA Centerlink

Can't help with the other parts of your question .

To check it out completely in case they have seen a loop hole and are missing out on the revenue try the NSW DPI site and look up fishing licences.

Senior's cards, although Australia wide, dont seem to mean much outside their state of origin. eg an ACT Seniors card doesnt qualify us for a discount on our NSW Parks Pass. One wonders if that means they (the beurocrats) think we might get younger as we cross borders?

Best to check with the local mob.

Enjoy the fishing!

Like most states they only look after their residents It's like the term national parks there's bugger all national about their running .

In NSW if your a vet of aged pensioner then an all parks Pass to the NP is a possibility. NP no dogs State Reserves dogs allowed.

Heard an interesting statement from a Govt adviser on NP's, he stated that parks need to be occupied not left to their own devices otherwise the feral animals and weeds just run riot over what they are trying to protect . Lateral thinker, He won't last long .

I agree with the call for no more parks marine or otherwise, or state reserves until they have enough funds and human resources to truly mange what they have.

had a nat park officer(I think its CALM in WA) tell me that I could not use my 3m tinny in Wa cause it wasn,t reg in Wa. So I went down 10 miles to the south and put it in there. There are so many signs in Wa , you can,t see the landscape.luckily , its a big place, and there are not many nat park types.

Rosey, this technicality can be overcome by using a NSW address all you need is a "senior" friend in Qbn or Yass. NPWS recalled my pass issued because I have a Gold Card saying that they were no longer doing this for "administrative" reasons so I wandered into Whan's Office in Qbn and had a chat with him he went balisitc and they sent me a "lifetime" pass a week or so later.
