At long last, we have found that such a place really does exist, and here in Southern Queensland too.You can enjoy working on your prized possession, caravan, bus or motor-home, even in the summer months, and your treasured investment, is protected from the undesirable elements too.
Inside these large, purpose built sheds one has access to power, water, and wonderful smooth floors on which to work, should you need to get under your RV.
There is also a workshop that has a comprehensive range of equipment, which one does not normally carry around while traveling full-time on the road. If you find yourself lacking in any know-how, there is a mine of useful tips and help to be gleaned from the proprietor Vaughan, who runs a horse float and RV manufacturing business.
Once you are finished working on your RV, and have no further need for the protection of the large shed, there are also powered sitesfor you to rest up at, with water, toilet, shower, laundry facilities and a dump point. 3G reception is fabulous too.
Within walking distance of the complex are the shops, which include a brilliant hardware store, for all those niggly bits that you didn'tt plan for, or forgot to bring with you. The grocery/mini-super store has everything one needs to keep the appetite satisfied during your stay here at this charming little place they call Clifton, which is situated 40kms from Toowoomba on the Toowoomba Warwick road. There is a variety of other shops and a post office in the main street and there is some wonderful local scenery to enjoy as well. The locals are most helpful and it is very definitely an RV friendly town.
Should you need to store your vehicle for short or long term, secure sheds are available at very reasonable rates too (While you fly home to see the kids for Christmas or weddings).

We have just spent three wonderful weeks here, and it is very surprising how much we have managed to get done to the motor-home. It really does make all the difference when one has the right tools and facilities. There are still quite a few more little jobs to be done, but we have to do some house-sitting for one of our daughters for a few weeks, and after that we have a trip planned for Bundaberg. After that, we have asked Vaughan and Karen if we can come back to finish off this years mods to the motor-home, before heading off again, for another magical Ozzie adventure.

Sounds really great. It would be good if there were franchises available so we in other states could enjoy similar facilities. No, I wouldn't be able to do it but perhaps there are others who can. Just a thought!
Terry.

Hi Palebusman, Thanks for the information sounds like a great place to visit, Hope we get a chance to visit on our tour around Australia, there is really a need for these sort of facilities for us grey nomads. Have noted the info for use in the future. Happy safe travels Chris and Robbie (from Tasmania) Currently in Casino New South Wales
ah! a mans gotta have a shed, the bigger the better, and if it belongs to someone else and we get to use all his toys and he has lots of them then all the better
What a brilliant idea and facility. Obviously the instigator knows this industry very well. What are the charges for the use of the shed and facilities, as well as the powered site and amenities? Nothing in this world is free, but to pay for this sort of initiative is certainly worth it. Let there be more around the country. I do some of my own maintenance, like wheel bearings, tyre rotations etc, but it's better if I can find a more appropriate place to do it. Having access to tools and gear is very helpful. What a brilliant idea! Cheers
