Thankyou all so much for your good wishes. I for one am going to miss being involved in the forum. It has done so much for me, it's like you are all part of my family now.

On behalf of DaveO ........we will undertake to behave Ma, just so SmokeyDave doesn't have too much to do. But drop the dog box off anyway.............you never know when we (hopefully) have a relapse.

Hi everyone and thanks for all the good wishes. We have been away now for two weeks and got into Charters Towers yesterday. I know it is a "hurried" trip but we have to be in Townsville on Wednesday. We have both enjoyed the experience very much. Isn't the Nindigully Pub just the best. If you are travelling through Charter's Towers the Dalrymple Van Village is just the best. So clean and friendly.
Will leave here tomorrow (Monday) and head for Townsville and stay there till around the 8th November. Then plan on ducking up to Cairns for a couple or so days and try and catch up with Cruising Granny if she is still there.
Then back down the coast road to home arriving around the 8th December.
Hope to catch up with some of you along the way. There are a few of you who have extended an invite and we are both very grateful and will most likely take you up on your offers. Will ring beforehand though just in case you are otherwise occupied
I know one thing, when I get home I am going to design a Grey Nomads flag. I reckon if we were to fly one of these on our vans when camped then it would be a lot easier to spot each other.
At this stage and after all these miles we haven't seen a single one of you.
