nice to be home

well, its nice to be home after our trip, still got somethings to get used to in the van, what to pack , what not too....

best shower on the road was at Kimba in SA, niceset place we stayed at was at Belair in Adelaide,

I think though dad and i do need to find some time on our trips ie long ones to have some space, 2 different generations, and also  I do drive the tardis much better than him, and 3 times on our trip he lets us almost run out of diesel ,  I would never do that, I have a rule, if the car gets to quater of a tank, put fuel in it, even if its 20 liters, ie so were not stuck some where between towns with no phone coverage....
any ways thats my rant...

but  nice to travel and nice to be home ..

Welcome home Milo,
Dads can be a bit set in their ways, which considering their age, have earnt it. So you being a youngun need to go with the flow. Good on ya for taking your dad, Milo.

put up with it Milo, might not have him all that long, make the best while you can, grit your teeth and swear under your breath!

we're old, we're grumpy we're set in our ways, we make blues (well I dont but I do know some that do) but when we're gone it's for a long time, wish I could still complain about my DAD!

Congratulations on a successful trip and safe return.
You will have many memories, I'm sure.
Is there a van park at Kimba? Shows you how long it's been since I've travelled over the top of the Eyre Peninsula.
I always go to Lincoln to see family and friends.
That phone thing will never really get any better. The service providers only look after the populated areas where most of the people are. It's a pity all that technology is spread a little wider. Could be handy in isolated regions between roadhouses.
So, when is the next trip, and where to?
I bet you've started planning and studying those maps.
You'll have to get a good step ladder for those higher jobs.
Welcome home so to speak.
