Indeed Dave, quite correct we tend to forget these things in our busy lives. Good that someone reminds us. One of my sons was on HMAS Westralia when the engine room blew up, in fact he was the lone fire fighter on board. He lost his best mate that day and is still battling with the memory. Power to our Defence Force personnel.

it's the people whom I want remembered, everyday folks fight battles and it is they who die, politicians go nowhere near conflicts but gain political mileage from it, I have no interest in them, I just dont want our young boys and girls forgotten!
I am a great supporter of our local R.S.L. I called in this morning to see how our new museum is getting on, ww1 feild kitchen fully restored, stands in pride of place, all built with donations, a great honor to stand amongst the memorabilia
