Hi everyone, Just thought i would let you know that the Texas country race day is on Saturday 12th December it is only once a year. If you don't know where Texas is it is in Qld on the border of NSW & Qld, it is only a small country town but it could be a fun day. We are going up, my husband came from Texas his family were Tobaco farmers, he left there and moved to sydney about 39yrs ago we have been back a few times. This time we are going to have a bit of a family reunion it should be great fun. We take delivery of our new caravan next thursday so that will be our first adventure in our van. Early February we start our new lives as Grey Nomads no time limit we will just keep going. There is a Caravan park in Texas. Hope to see some of you there would love to catch up.

They say life is short and the road ahead is long. So don't spend too much time looking in the rear vision mirror.
It sounds like an absolute hoot. I love those little town country meetings. The whole community comes together to run it and "fun" it. Unfortunately I won't be there, but I'll put on my "to do" list. Have fun and travel safe with the new van.

We plan to be travelling through Texas in January on our next adventure. We became new Grey Nomads in April this year and spent four months touring Nth. Queensland and the Northern Territory. Had a fantastic time and can't wait to be on the road again. You will love it. Good Luck!
