Just curious

Just curious as to how many " nomads" actually live and roam in their vans etc 24/7

Hi Colin,
interesting question. I know of a couple only, but there must be thousands out there.
There was an earlier post that had a 'poll' attached asking that question of the GN forumites, but i can't find it .

All being well we are off in May for an extended trip around the block, just follow the bonnet and see where it takes us.  No timetable.

Hope the old girl gets better very soon and does not cost an arm and a leg.

We have a lovely house and property. Been at the house and property 2 wks in 4 yrs. The next door neighbour leases the land and mows the lawn and looks after the house. His wife cleans and dusts and sprays for spiders every 3 months. One day we will go back to die. Presently we can make more money leasing than selling and investing the cash. Have not been into a carapark in 4 yrs.

More info please!!! Over past two years, have leased house out; now at home and hubby working to amass more cash for next trip away. Will not rent house out again, income not worth it. We are doing backyard blitz and have installed security system ready for when we can vamoose again. Both are 63/64 ish; Mr K.....07..,. R, says we must work much longer and must not retire.Because of some assets (which we cannot access as in joint name with his  Mum(aged 95 with dementia) owns,  we can not access "Govt Assitance" ie part pension, so continue to donate tax to the Feds.  Any suggestions re "loopholes" appreciated.
Cheers,

JRH solar. Would not want to be burdened by a generator or dog. Both cause much bad blood and fights.

I'm a full time van resident, with no real estate or furniture.
I've lived full time in vans since '98 in Broome, took to the road in newer van '07, 12 months around the bottom to Daintree. Still in Cairns, planning next move.

A man after my own heart.  I do love dogs but don't have one at present as I want to travell without restrictions, and I can live without the agro.

Hi,

We live in our Toyota Coaster bus 24/7 and everything we own is with us.
Trevor sharpens saw blades for the builders as we pass through towns and that keeps us going in fuel, accommodation and food.

We couldn't imagine living between the same four walls again, love the change of scenery as often as we like.
