If you are heading to the Kimberleys

Last year was only a quick 'rekkie' around Oz for us, mainly to make sure that all would be well with the recently purchased motor-home. Next time we do the Oz 360' we will be spending a fair bit of time in one of 'Cruising Granny's' favourite parts of Oz.

Why....?

Because we have just finished reading a wonderful website that is run by an exquisite young lady who is known simply as "B".

Toyota Coaster with the 1HZ straight 6 diesel engine Gayle.

The power and dependability of this motorhome never fails to amaze me, and believe me, we have certainly been in some tricky situations with her too.
Sadly, we forgot to capture them with the camera at those times, but here's some pixs of her in more relaxed times.

That looks fantastic. I would love to be getting serious about this nomad business but work still calls. Eight weeks in June will hold us over for a while until the itchy feet start again.

The Kimberlies are part of this trip so thanks for the link. We will study it well.wink

Thanks for the link to the Kimberley writer.
She's certainly laid it out with no hidden shocks or suprises.
If travellers use their commonsense, prepare their vehicle, and take their time, things will go relatively well.
On the trip I did with a mate in his Millard 18ft (off road) we blew a tyre on the van and bent the rear axle as a result.
The "effie" had dual rear wheels and the brake on the inside wheel, of course, shattered to pieces.
We pulled into the parking spot at the Drysdale turnoff, surveyed the damage, grabbed the Bundy and settle in the gazebo to enjoy the evening, and plan the next move.
We took it very carefully, by-passing Drysdale and the Mitchell Falls trip, and headed to Willare. We called in to the Windjana Gorge where there's a van park with cold showers and loos, but no power. Doesn't matter!
The bitumen begins just west of there these days, to make the GRR "adventure highway" a little shorter adventure.
