Well just returned from our trip to Venus Bay SA Had a great trip car and van performed up to standard (new to us van) ummmm except for 1 tyre on van that went poof Wendy and I went there to meet up with people from WA that we met last year at Alice Springs, main goal was to catch fish and that worked out sorta oks brough home a 50 ltr Waeco full (Pst some brought at Port Lincoln but keep that quiet) Venus Bay c/p is a good park, a little short on luxury, but that was fine, it is mainly for the fishing types. Wendy and the other ladies went to Streaky Bay shopping twice where there is/was a mouse stampede, hope that is over, a few trvellers were going it give it a miss, like they didnt want to stand on a chair for there time there hehe. We stayed at Venus for 3 weeks then on to Tumby Bay for 5 days loved it there, nice park but the fishing sob sob, stayed a night at Pt Pierie, then on to Mildura stayed at Gol Gol c/p for another 5 days great park $32 with ensuit, love Mildura never miss staying there. Then on towards Wendys sisters home for a night, then next day home, a great 6 short weeks, up to Surfers before Xmas, then planning starts for next years travel, Exmouth has appeal

You say "new to us van." How old is it? The tyre could have blown as it is time expired. 5 - 7 years is about all you can expect from a tyre, no matter how good the tread is. Check the age of the remaining tyres and renew them if they are time expired. You will only have more tears if you don't. Many new owners of older vans have the same experience.
If you are purchasing a van over 5 years old, allow a new set of tyres in your purchasing price.
