Greetings from arkaroola

Have been here 2 weeks now with another two to go.great place to visit and plenty to look at.
We are looking after the caravan park toilet and shower blocks, 2 hours a day each (10-12) which leaves plenty of time in the afternoon to do things.
ted and robyn (pricey41) are coming up to replace us at end of month.
This is an ongoing oppurtunity for grey nomads to work here.
All they want is minimum 4 weeks stay, 2hours a day each with the occasional extra hours when they are busy in the village.
pay is $22.50 per hour with free powered site, as an added bonus you get to do all the tourist attractions for free.
if interested call Terry on 08 8648 4848.
perfect time of year to be up here, glorious days and cold nights. After the recent rain in the area the wild flowers are blooming everywhere.

G'day Garry & Kerry,

Thanks for posting that info re Arkaroola, have put it in our book so when we are coming that way we will apply.

PS:- What is the road in like? I noticed it is a minor unsealed road, would it be OK for 2wd. Thanks.

Looking forward to catching up with Gary and Kerry before they move on.  The road reports are, that it is fine for 2wd at the moment.  If you go to the Arkaroola website they give you an upto date road report.  Shows the value of these forums. We met up with Gary and Kerry after chatting on the forum about our destinations and times.  Spent some pleasant happy hours with them while travelling the same track.

Looking forward to getting back on the road again.   smilesmilesmilesmile

if coming in, travel the road from Copley, we came in from Blinman and it was quite rocky and corrugated in spots. After the recent rain you need to slow down at all the creek crossings other than that if you take it easy its Ok. Seen a few 2wds in here towing vans and campertrailers.
The last 5K is the worst, really bad corragations.

G'day Gary & Kerry,

Many thanks for the information it is greatly appreciated and it has been logged in our book for next year.

It is really great when someone has travelled the road and is prepared to share the relevant info.
