I know my car can tow this and I have been talking with a local owner and also the people who make these
and going to batemens bay to meet them and have a look at it hopefully later this week,
which there kind enough to let me do.. any one seen these in person?
im thinking for me , after my experiences with my dad, less is more? and there around
the $8kish price tag ... so its something that i could possibly do with out waiting for my dad (86) to leave this place...

my brother is going on about travelling etc and say why not fly , hire a car , hotel see what u want then fly home

but me , im kind of an adventurer, been to UK(,Hong kong ,US,when  as a kid) Turkey,
and i love seing whats out there... if the weather turns crap then i just hire out a cabin for nite or two...

Since noone has commented I thought I should.

I love the little guy. We may look into getting one in a few years for small trips when this big trip is over, maybe a second hand one by then. Even Hylda could tow the thing with her little Toyota Seca.

I'm usually reluctant to suggest to others what sort of rig suits them best as our desires and needs are very individual, but I can't help but think that the "Little Robin Mini Mini" would be better suited to your needs than the "Little Guy" as it is self contained inside and would be much more pleasant in bad weather than the LG as you can "retreat" inside and read a book, watch a video, etc.  As (like me) you're a solo traveller I'd suggest the one with the double bunk across the end rather than the two singles as it would give you more living space.  I have no knowledge of this brand so I can't comment on the overall quality of the product.

Maybe one of those little A-vans is worth a look at???

Milo...google teardrops images and lots will come up, I also thought they would be great..BUT..you only sleep in them or watch DVD you can only sit up so ok for a w/e but not for anything more...you'd go stir crazy. They sure look cute also made in Brisbane and they list 2nd hand ones also. Kitchen in the back.
I can't tow but a teardrop is only light weight and you use the jockey wheel to reverse if you can't.
Have since decided on a van at least it has more space and if it's walk through you can be safe inside or drive off...has a safer feel if you are solo
Cheers
Robyn

Another option is the Jayco Penguin. They're similar to my Goldstream (in my avatar) in that it is the model that doesn't have the pull-out beds. The Jaycos are less expensive and lighter to tow. Check the second hand market as they come up for sale from time to time by people who decide to upgrade to a larger pop-top or full height van.

When recently set up in a CP in Bendigo my neighbours there had had one of the little A-Vans that they were towing quite comfortably with a Rav 4.
