A town without Petrol

Had a bit of luck today was heading to Gayndah where I was  going to refuel , but when we got to Ban Ban springs 28 k south of Gayndah seen a servo and decided to fill up there. when we got to Gayndah the whole town was closed including all servo , for the funeral of one of the soldiers killed in service OS , what a loyal town doing that for one of there local hero. If I had not fill up at Ban Ban Springs would have been up the creek.

That's nice to hear, not your refueling dilemma but a town showing respect

It certainly is,  the close community spirit of living in a small town is wonderful.  I grew up in one and miss that special feeling.

IT sure was a moving sight to see road blocks all around the town . we felt if we had of stop and had a close look at the town we would of had to walk through the road blocks and you would have felt you were intruding on the towns special day saying good bye to their local lad . I don't believe there was anyone in the town that was'nt there ,the rest of the city was like it was deserted

I think this is a town worthy of a visit just to tell them that there are many of us that also care and support their actions.

its communities like these pulling together and supporting each other in tough times that gives us an oppertunity to reassess and reasure ourselves that todays society hasn't lost its way after all. Yes there are many pros to living in a small close nit community.
