After spending three days at Brisbane Caravan etc show, much deliberation, etc. three hours today at production line, followed by time at showroom..... we put out deposit down on kedron 21ft ATV. What a big day!
We are so excited....
but all that is left now is sell house and everything associated, sell current 4Wd buy new tow vehicle, notice to work, leave in July 2011 - minor detail - tell 85y mother.......(probably hardest bit)
All a bit scary, but, yes we are excited...

Hey all, thanks for your messages, I started individually replying, but lost my place, so have had to start all over again.
So to start at the beginning for Capt cream bun's benefit, our journey started quite a few years ago when we started looking at 5th wheels, in fact have had a photo of "cruiser' with the date 10 july 2016 on our fridge since 2003!
After knee reconstruction a few years back, hysterectomy & broken ankle in 2009, followed by whooping cough this year, we decided to fast track the thought.
Avid campers, we needed to update our mode of travel, and decided it was time to update our mode of home on wheels from a camper trailer, and started seriously looking at 5th wheelers early this year. We travelled up the sunshine coast, down to the gold coast, up to Toowoomba looking at various models, trawled the internet..... one day, after visiting one in particular, we came to the realisation that we were not getting any younger, that my right knee and left ankle did not want to climb up stairs to get into a bed, that our backs did not need to double over while not being able to stand up in the bedroom (yes Iknow there are some 5th wheelers out there that you can) so changed track, and started looking at caravans.
Big difference in size - 30th 5th wheeler to a 21 ft van - I know, So,why the Kedron?
We looked forward with anticipation to the Brisbane Caravan etc camping show to help us make our decision. We spent three days there looking at vans. We had already decided it needed to be a reliable off-roader - while are are not mad 4WDers, we do like to get of the tar as much as we can, so wanted something capable of taking us there, and getting us back again. Timber fram vs aluminium frame was the next thing to decide on. To us the aluminium frame would flex, unlike the wood. We watched countless videos supplied by the supplier taking their vans into "hostile" teritory, and finally knew we had found our new dream home.
Chose the ATV - it will take us where we want to go.
Inclusions: the list is too numerous, but we have deisel heater, front load washing machine, compressor fridge, full ensuite (love it) full stove & oven (chose not to have the microwave) the list goes on - probably this post will be way to long for webmaster to allow, so maybe I had better stop now and watch Sea Patrol instead. Capt Cream Bun, I will email you separately when i have more concentration!

Milo, our house goes to auction on Sunday.I was the sceptical one and was unsure of what we were doing but i am now looking forward to it.After all, it is only bricks and mortar. Its not as if we are leaving with nothing financially. We will invest the money while on the road or could even buy a rental property, time will tell.Once we find our little dream home somewhere we will settle down again
