If there are any nomads presently in Cairns who are aircraft buffs, the Cairns Aero Club is hosting a display day today from 9am to 3pm. This will be held at their club on the Western side of the airport, Tom Macdonald Drive off Captain Cook highway.
Will have four old warbirds (photo of two attached) and flights etc in their own club craft.

Not in Cairns so I'll miss out. Last year went up to Mareeba for their Air Show, it was a great day out. In a previous life many years ago I was a part-time flying instructor, hence my interest. I expect to be in Cairns mid August however, most likely at the Caravilla CP.
