Further to my post "Homeless by choice" & my offer for a free camp site at Chinchilla, it may be worth reading this article which is something I had in mind when I purchased the 700acres at Chinchilla. Post your thoughts so we can all share in them. www.pigswillfly.com.au/?p=1618
Maybe develop it into a community title type low-cost housing development or multiple dwelling type co-operative housing on acres instead of caravan or mobile home type situations where everyone is side-by-side, but nothing has been done in Qld as far as I'm aware, so the bureaucratic red-tape in dealing with council & state planning laws is just not worth it at my age. Tragic when you think that the Nimbin development was passed by council in NSW 30 odd years ago. I know there are community title developments in SA & co-operative housing developments in NSW & Vic & one would think there would be similar laws in all states, but that would be wishful thinking. This would make an ideal base for grey nomads who want to sell their expensive houses in the cities & put their money away for retirement & have somewhere modest to camp & travel & mix with like-minded fellow travellers.
