Well, long service leave is all but over, and in a couple of weeks it'll be back to the grind of pushing a semi up and down the road. I look forward to the time when my wife Sharron and i can just head off when ever we want to where ever we want and for how ever long we want.. This 3 months off has been to say the least eventful, lets see, oh yeh i got married, went to cooktown, a place i have wanted to go for as long as i can remamber, had plenty of time to relax at home and just not worry about nuth'n, but on a sader not my long time friend has been told she has lung cancer and that has made me sad thats for sure. I'm off to Marion Bay this week for a few days of fishing and "manly stuff" before going back to work at the end of the month but the next holiday trip is on the drawing board, taking a trip to tassie next year but i'm sure there will be a few smaller trips away inbetween time..I don't know that i want to give up my home as found that after going to queensland for a trip i was kind of happy to be home so maybe we can have the best of both worlds, we have a famliy holiday home at Marion Bay on the bottom of york penninsular here in good old SA, it's time to use it a bit more often than we do i think. I'm only 55 and i know that i have to do some sort of work after all no pay no play but whne is the right time, i don't want to work until i drop, anyway you never know just when that will be, so is it better to have a bit less and more time to enjoy it or is it better to have everything you want and wait until you can enjoy it,mmm i think i know the answer to that little gem,. anyway sorry for the ramble, was just feeling a bit low

Good on you! Congratulations on the nuptials. I hope you enjoyed Cooktown. I've been up there twice and find it a quaint, historic town. Did you call into Cairns? I would have put the kettle on. The best feed of barra I ever had was at the cafe' on the Cooktown jetty. Grilled barra, wild barra (it was too big to be farmed barra) and salad. Ah, the memories make me drool. Now you're heading to whiting and snapper country. Maybe even a snook - great for smoking. Just a bit hard to roll and light. Sorry. Too early for blue crabs. You're in Elbe and DeBe country down there. Good value for a chat. I think they're still home. Have a great time. Maybe our paths will cross.
