This letter from the RTA may help with getting some rational thought back  into the use of rear view cameras  for the purpose of  constantly streaming info to the driver of whats going on behind

Of course NSW,  the only state that has so many contradictory regulations.  We may be the oldest state but believe me we have never superseded  any of those original regs, we just keep adding new ones  to the book  till it reads like War and Peace.   When they gazetted the new National Road Rules we all thought that would be a lead to a universal application in NSW , NO way we went ahead and stuffed it up yet again

I believe in NSW you must have mirrors has well has rear camera if thats what they saying sure old fashion is that the case anywhere else , we all should be a where of this has if driving in those states could receive a traffic fine
