Hi Colsa, Hot water in your van is a good thing. But is it a gas one or 240 volt thingo.. They all need to be plumbed in to water ect.. some are instant some store water , the later will be heavy when full and will need to be fixed to some thing solid.. All good when fitted not so good when fitted in a hurry... Bobnbev

Hi BobnBev, this one is 240volt and heats water as it flows through at 2.5litres per minute at 40c and 1.8litres per minute for 50c with an ambient temp of 18*c sounds good as there is no extra weight etc, love to hear from anyone that has used this,
Coleman put out a portable H/W system that needs no plumbing and has it's own water supply for aroun $250 --- you can also buy a adapter for it to run off LPG instead of Coleman cylinders .
cheers

Great timing for your question, I fitted one to my van last week and so far so good. The main problem I could see is if you do a lot of free camping they are'nt much use as they use 13.75 amps, no problem in a van park but would require a genset of about 3kva to run. Other than that it works a treat, up to 60 deg. in about5-10 seconds
Hi Di-n-Gary, thanks for that info is yours the RV instant hot water, we do a bit of free camping but always where we can use the genny as i have to use my vpap at night, i can do without hot water for a week or so now and then, we've been doing this for 4 years and not had one maybe i can it off ebay!
RV Hot Water require a dedicated 240Volt, 15amp GPO. This must be installed by a licenced electrician and as most van wiring is in the wall cavity it may not be an easy job. To pug them into the common 10amp GPO's found in caravans is illegal. If it was easy as they make ou,t I'd have one in tommorrow. Cheers, ozjohn.
