Henley-On-Todd Regatta at Alice Springs

Grant Denyer did sunrise's weather from the regatta this morning.
Its looks like a whole lot of fun. Has anyone ever been in Alice when it is on?

Not worth a special trip, but if in the vicinity, definately worth seeing. Bit like all the others really, Curdimurka Ball, Birdsville Races, Camel Cup, Finke to Alice Races, seen them once, that's enough!!

IMGP4462.JPGIMGP4479.JPGIMGP4485.JPGHenley-on-Todd was yesterday. We were there.  Great day with lots of fun.  There was even a marriage proposal in the middle of the proceedings.  My husband saw it over 40 years ago and he said they have made inprovements.

There was plenty of shade to sit under and a great festival feel.  Can thoroughly recommend the day.

We were there last year. It is a lot of fun. for us it went a bit long. we left after three hours. It seemed to us to be more of the same. Not knocking it that was our personal opinion. We know others would feel differently. Having said that we wouldn't have missed it for quids!
