I saw this some time back on a email, towing from the roof? dont think so , wouldn,t be long & you would have a toppless car & no trailer.LOL
If it could be made successful then it would eliminate the need for that front towbar that was asked about.just a gimmick.

It could probably be made to work OK on a 2 door ute.   Suitable frame and hitch could be made up to pivot on the front of the tray, just above the roof !  Certainly make it easier for parking and turning in tight spots !!
