Hi folks, As a recent purchaser of a "Noels Island Star" caravan (Adelaide), I have had some harrowing experiences with the quality of the van. e.g. Air vents (3) leaked and then broke. 3 lights stopped working. Cupboards not aligned. Filter tap and sink leaked after first week. Chassi and gas bottle rusting after 1 month. Awning brackets worked loose after 2 weeks. Washing machine leaked. My point is - I would like to remove all of the dealers advertizing stickers as I do not want to promote this LEMON !!! Can anyone advise how to remove stickers without damage to surface of van. Thanks in anticipation.
Hi DKay. Just a suggestion.... send an account to the manufacturers for advertising. I hate the fact, that we are advertising their product for them. Cheers Dellie
The manufacturer's logos and stuff came off a camper trailer we had, simply by carefully peeling them bit by bit. Cleaned the leftovers with eucalyptus oil. If they seem to be permanent on your van, I suggest you find a graffitist to over-write them with something appropriate!!!
Or maybe find some bigger stickers to cover them with. Good luck!
Brickies, your on the right track. I have used a gas burner and with a QUICK swipe across and start to peal it of .. The stickers were on Engel Fridges and were beer adds. They came of fine. But were on a steel back. Be careful..

Hair drier.......then I used flyspray on a tissue to remove the sticky left behind...on my new van...and painted over their logo on the spare tyre cover...not Goldstream but DBB Grrrrrrr

I would not remove their advertising, i would leave it where it was and add to it that it is a lemon. Write on the window of the van for all to see when you drive past:
supplier
problems
cost to repair
time wasted
and make sure supplier gets copy of photo etc of "your advertisement"
There is nothing like a bit of adverse advertising to soothe one's anger - very satisfying

Thanks for all the great advice. I especially like "Dunmowin's" suggestion. Don't get angry - get even. Rest assured, I have been bad-mouthing "Noels Island Star" in every caravan park from Adelaide to Sunshine Coast. I do feel a little better for having done so.
Everything you've mentioned except the washing machine should be covered by the manufacturers warranty. The washing machine will be covered by the van manufacture/dealers supplier. Take the van back to the dealer and "politely demand" that all faults be rectified in accordance with Statutory Warranty Legislation. Most Island Star vans are made by Spaceland Caravans in Victoria and that company has an excellet reputaion for honoring warranty issues. Check your vans compliance plate to see who the manufacturer is, and if you cant reach a satisfactory resolution with 'Noels" then contact the manufacturer. They may not know that there is a problem unless you've contacted them previously. Cheers, ozjohn.
