Thettford C2 Cassette Leaks

We have started to get water damage around the toilet wall base. I suspect it is coming from the holding tank as the stain is "blue" in colour. This is the same colour as our holding tank additive. The only place I can find any water is on the sliding panel which covers the circular "slide" that opens when the toilet is used. However, I can find no signs of "leakage".

Anyone have any ideas?

Next question, should one travel, with the flushing tank and holding tank "empty"? The manual gives no help to newbee's.

Thanks
Regards

Are you talking about a built in toilet or a portapotti type wombat? Sorry to be a bit thick, but still learning.
Was in our local camping shop this morning getting ideas on the portapotti and my impression was you left the water in while travelling. The chap was quite helpful and showed me how they work.
Perhaps go to the nearest camping shop to where you are and ask their advice.

Haha. that gave me a good laugh too.
No he didn't demonstrate it but did take it out of the box and showed me all the bits and how they worked, and I mean on the portapotti. Before you go getting any more ideas.

We have a thetford loo in our van, we only empty it when it fills, so travel with it at whatever level it has reached. After 18 months we've just noticed that the seals may be failing and need replacing, but up until now it has been fine.

yep .. Olive oil spray works a charm ..
Some folks might find it difficult to regularly clean their 'thrones' properly .. Its most important to do thorough cleaning before spraying .. Its all good !

Do the Seals take offence to the hissing sound from the spray cans ?

oops!  pardon my warped brain.
