Grafton Greyhound Racing Club Caravan Park

Has anyone stayed at this park?  Its not mentioned in my NRMA guide, nor Badgers.
Thought we might visit Grafton for the Jacaranda Festival.
Thanks.

I have stayed in th other 2 in Sth Grafton , they are ordinary . You get a lot of
Motorhomers staying in that one at Jaca , you might check with CMCA . Book soon
as it is usually busy for Jaca.

That is probably for travelling greyhound trainers, in anycase you would be mixing with plenty of dogs (the 4 legged kind).biggrin

Currently sitting with 2 x GNs one of whom is born & bred Grafton and husband who live there for couple of years. Have never heard of Grafton Greyhound Racing Club Caravan Park.

Having said that, just googled it, and found it on google maps - part of the racing complex in grafton - but our GN visitors adivse us there are safe free camps at illarwil about 50 km from Grafton.

Thanks Dunmowin.
I phoned them yesterday, and the woman who answered said the person who runs the caravan park side of things wasnt there, and would I call back tomorrow because they were in the middle of a race meeting. I could hear the racetrack loudspeakers in the back ground, and it didnt sound like it would be a peaceful place to stay, so I made a booking somewhere else.
The reason I considered that particular park, was cos I thought it might be cheap.

Even cheap has its price. In that case it's probably the noise and activity.

Gerty, obviously you are heading north. Would love to catch up if you are heading over the border into sunny Qld (well, not so sunny past couple of days)
