departure date lock in

Ok, well the boat has been booked for the big departure to the island to the north. Finish up work for the for seeable future on the 20th of Jan 2011, do a night sailing on the 27th jan. Spend a few days in melbourne catching up with family, then a quick stint to SA and the barrossa valley to spend a couple of days with my sister. Next fixed date is for my daughter graduation in Perth on the 10th of feb. Plan to spend a bit of time there and head south, Albuny or the like until about may and start the trec north. Plan to do a bit of casual work (will be taking my signwriting gear with me). Was going to take my massage table but my fingers wont work long enouth now so thats out. But any way, be warned, we are friendly 2 headed tasmanians and we are heading to a town near you.
cheers

50 is a good age but 60 is even better.  If you can fill the years in between with travel and meeting new friends it is even better.  Go for it blaze and remember if you are on the south coast of NSW call in for some liquid refreshment (and kind at all) you will get a warm welcome.

solo???  just depends on your interpretation.
I consider  hubby and myself as 'solo' because we travel solo. ie with no other couples, just the two of us.

In the past 3 years I have travelled to many remote desert locations solo, as in alone leaving the wife to spend time visiting instate relies/kids. I do love my time out there alone, at one with the envoiroment, some times just sitting miles from anywhere in my own little dream world. But it will be nice to spend time with my wife in less remote areas and enjoy it together.
cheers
