Boiling Billy Publications - Camping guides

Recently purchased  "Camping guide to Queensland" Boiling Billy publications Cathy Savage and Craig Lewis.  It cost about $25 including postage.  It has over 500 campsites in  QLD - most of them either free or low cost ie under $20 with lots under $10.  We are off to try it out this weekend.  They have a book for each state.  Just thought others may be interested.  cheers

Sounds a great publication Pete.
Where do you purchase it from, bookstores or mail order? If theres postage included I presume there must be a website or similiar where you can find it.

Hi happy wanderer - I purchased it on line and think it was $25 all up - I do have a camps 4 as well but the thing I like about this publication is that it gives many places that are off the beaten track where the camps series usually go from point A to B down the highway.

I have Camps 5 also ozjohn but intend getting one of these as well as soon as I find out where from. I also have an exercise book with all the hints and ideas from this site with more easy and cheap camping ideas.
It all helps.

Found it. Google Boiling Billy Publications, there is a whole range of good books including Bush Pubs and many more.

I've tried five different NRMA offices JC and none of them know what I'm talking about.  The only one I've been able to find in NRMA is the one that costs around $25+++

Yes you found it, but you did not post the URL. Please spill the beans and post it to save us all from having to look it up.

PeterD, why don't you ask the same question of Pete from PeteandGail who opened this thread. I asked and got no productive reply so went looking myself just as you can do.
In the google box write - Boiling Billy Publications - and there you will see it.
I am sure Pete will have a better idea than myself as he is the one who found it online., and has purchased.

I actually came on here to say I was having a wander of the shops today, went into the newsagents and found it there. But it is $29.95 in the shops which I think may be dearer than buying it online from what peteandgail said in the opening posts. I never saw a price online as I only opened the relevant front page and haven't been any further as not buying one for a while.

Phew!!

G'day, I bought a copy of the Boiling Billy Tasmania while down there over summer, using both this & Camps 5 together (there are some sites in one but not the other), but generally found Boiling Billy to be the better. I was so impressed that when I hit the mainland again I bought a Vic, NSW & Qld copy. None of these copys seem to be as good as the Tas edition to me. But they are still handy to use in conjunction with the Camps 5, for the same reason as stated above. I have seen them in book stores, newsagents, & camping stores. Just have a look around, in my opinion they are worth having to use with your other publications.

Regards Terry

Think some of these will definitely be on my "things to get" list then.

Hi Happywanderer, thr RRP for the the Boiling Billy books is $29.95 for NSW, Vic, & SA, but WA & Qld are $19.99, with NT just $17.99. Have to smile though, Tasmania, is $24.95. Hope this helps.

My local shop only had a Vic and NSW publication Pejay. Both 29.95. Interesting to note the others are cheaper, thanks for that.
