Still no takers. Tassie,

North Coast, Small beachside community not named after your brother.

With the help of your hint and a map of Tasmania, I would guess at Sisters Beach, tucked in Rocky Cape National Park

Phew! Yes Sisters Beach it is. Well done for finding it.

Back over to you.

In fact, having just perused Cuppa & Mrs Tea's blogs, it would appear that they have not been to this rock formation, near a salty lake.

Nup, it's certainly not somewhere familiar to us.

Here is a huge hint - but not the name of the rock formations near by (which is what I am chasing):

Monday 20th March to Friday 24th March 2023 The DLRA conducts its annual Speed Week at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. It's straight line speed on "the big white dyno", as fast as you can go on a salt lake in the remote Australian outback.

That's the place cuppa. We were doing time at Mt Ive station in early 2020 Prep for the races, when "C" hit. Races were cancelled, so all accommodation at Mt Ive was cancelled.  We stayed on to assist with cancellations, then moved on, what started as slowly, then rather quickly back to Queensland... Rest said...

Mr D had this on his bucket list for years, at least we got there even tho it was cancelled.

Your turn again

Thanks Dunmowin, It's an event I'd like to get to some time. I imagine it might be a similar type of event to the classic bike events I used to enjoy many years ago back in the UK at Cadwell Park, in the days before investment bikers, when the machines were bought to be used. Anyone welcome in the pits & likely to be asked to help out. I recall holding main jets out of a triumph sidecar outfits carburettors in a pair of vise grips whilst the owner drilled them out bigger. Running on methanol & determined to give the Morgan three wheelers a run for their money, He (& his passenger) did, but the Morgans always won against the motorcycle outfits. No red dirt or salt though!

Moving along to another location,  where was I when I took this photo?

Looks so tropical, but also, the building looks like western australia architecture. Mission Office sign post. So my guess is Kalumburu Mission, which I have since googled, and google concurs
