I'm interested in this post as I intend to be in that general area in March/April

If it's on the river bank there may not be a bank by the time you get there.
The Murray River is on flood warning. All that water that flooded Vic and NSW is heading down that way, and the water from south western Qld will end up in the Darling and then into the Murray as well.
Keep up with the information on the flooding situation through the River Murray region all the way to the mouth at Goolwa.
Safe and happy travels.
