Hi everyone, I am "suffering"a gecko problem and if members have any suggestions on how to reduce their numbers I would appreciate it. They may look cute, however they have wiped out our local native skinks and taken up residence in the A/C unit and defecate everywhere. I dont know if its the weather but their numbers have exploded and continue to rise. Along with cane toads our native locals are being decimated, even snakes due to the cane toads;with the exception of browns as they know not to eat toads, my neighbour had 2 brown snakes in her study in one week! If you have a suggestion it would be welcomed. I hope you are all safe and dry and out of harms way in Qld and Northern NSW, cheers ozi2
There is a device that you can buy that you plug in and it sends out a high pitch sound that humans can't hear. We lived in Charters Towers for 2 years and had them, also thoroughly spray in and around aircon with surface spray - they laid eggs in ours! Device no good if you have fish though! - it kills them!
