Lost Post

Many times I read of people typing a large post as a reply or a new topic (or even a Form you were filling out) only to find they hit the wrong button and lost all that work.

For those of you using Firefox there is an Add-on called "Lazarus; Form Recovery".

With this little app installed when the inevitable happens and you lose your post, simply reopen a Reply or New Topic window (wherever you were) - Right Click in the window and click on 'Recover Text' and there it is just as you typed it.

A sanity saver believe me.

Cheers Neil

On other forums its been suggested..if you going to do a long reply....do it in Microsoft word"..or Notepad.......can copy and paste.to thread..if it disappears..you already have origional.....( not everyone have FireFox)

That often has its problems too. Many times I have seen posts that are full of rubish characters. These are control characters that Word has amongst its texts. Be prepared to have to edit those out if you use a lot of the wordprocessors to compose messages. Use a simple text editor if you wish to compose a message outside of your browser - or better still use Firefox and Lazarus

I often use Notepad to remove all the formatting (and control codes) when doing a cut (copy) and paste from other sources.
