Hi Glassies, we had a great time in Tamworth too. Stayed at the council park near the bridge. We saw Adam Harvey and yes he is a lovely guy. All cowboyed out now. Last January 2010 attended the Elvis Festival in Parkes and were well and truly Elvised out by the time we left too!!
'On ya Glassies!!!! Looks like you had a beaut time. Thats what living is all about, eh? Was just talking to Dero, and we are trying to organise a trip to Lightening Ridge in the next week or two. Just have to stop being lazy I guess. Cheers Dellie
Milo, Elvis festival is a lot of fun. Heaps of Elvis impersonators, music. Can go to the Elvis Museum, and there are festivities at the clubs and pubs. I love the Street Parade, Viva Las Vegas, it's great fun!! Go if you get the opportunity, have to book accommodation. Enjoy

HI
DellieMay, make sure you check is Lightning Ridge is out of flood range, I heard a warning to farmers and campers to move to higher ground because of the water coming down from Qld. Cheers Val
yep i tried turning them around but every time i went back to them they were wrong side up again oh well at least i had a pretend lie down hehehehehe :)
It was so hectic spent most days trying to stay out of the heat i saw people camped near the bridge that looks like an alright spot, did hear a lot of thieving goes on though when not so much in a caravan park these days, they reckon the oval is rife with it.
but my theory is its everywhere and if they are gonna steal they are gonna steal
We didn't see or hear of any thieving going on, we were parked at that camp. We had good neighbours, everyone kept an eye on things when others were out. We had a friend come to our camp when we were in town, and two of the neighbours told us that someone had been at our van. But you are right, thieving is rife and thieves are gonna steal anywhere. We might see you guys next year ! Cheers
