Hi Lilly, I think it's the adversity of floods and bushfire etc that bring out the qualities of Australians, whether its a natural disaster or warlike actions aussies step up and do wonderful things, asking for nothing in return in helping their fellow citizens. Have a lovely Australia day with your family, ozi2

Happy Australia Day. Is anyone doing anything interesting. Not me. Went for a drive, got a few groceries. Can't go far yet, my van is not fitted out and waiting on some help from son in law who finally arrived home yesterday from 3 weeks work in Adelaide. I think his wife, my daughter, will want some time with him first. So its on here or in front of the TV today for me.
Hey True Blue, is it me and you? saw John Williamson on Today show this morning - fabulous song. Went to the local hospital where they had the Australia Day Ceremony and Awards. Was good to join in.
I came back from Cooloola Cove to have the day with my children, but have ended up home alone.
One lot took their dogs to the beach...not my idea of a good day...and the other lot who live out Ipswich way...they were working on their fence..in 33 degree heat..not my idea of fun either.
So I decided to stay here in my cool home with a pool outside my doorstep. I had a nap too Marj!
Hope everyone had a great day, wherever you are, and whatever you did!
I too had quiet day at home been away for 4 days as my dad passed away last week .. so today was just some quiet time which i need badly ..but back to work tomorrow and as they say life go on ........

My sympathies to you as well Lilly. When all the hustle of the planning and the funeral is over, the quiet can be a bit overwhelming. I hope you have the support you need to regain your strength.
