Welcome to the forum Deb & Gary!

Sorry cant help with the Lpg question, but for towing tips, check out www.tow-ed.com.au They run towing courses in most states, plus you can buy videos or booklets. There may be other towing educators around too. Well worth it.

Gidday can you advise what engine you have in the cruiser, 6 cyl or V8, also if your gas system is the older venturi mixer system, or the later injected gas system, then people may be able to give you an idea of running costs.
My mate has a 2004 V8 cruiser dual fuel  with the standard gas system he has a 90 ltr gas tank and he is happy if he gets 380 to 400 klm per tank, he tows a 22ft windsor approx 2600 kgs fully loaded. best of luck and happy travels     rgs dazren

Atta girl! What a team you make! I'm impressed. What's the first destination on your "list"?
Safe and happy travels.

Wish my wife could go frontwards, reverse is only a dream. Must say though she could put it in low range and go frontwards if she had to
cheers

My Landcruiser is the car and at the back of the station wagon it's "the shed". That's life on the road full time with no real estate or furniture.
It's the basic moden, not GLX. It has the barn door tailgate, 5 sped manual, no carpet or plush upholstery. I've used seat covers and a steering wheel cover because it gets very hot in Broome and Cairns, and many points in between. I don't want to burn my bits or my hands.
The windows are tinted, I use a dash mat to preserve the surface, and I use a foil in the windscreen. I have to look after "Rosy", because I depend on her.
I have her serviced when it's due. I'm running Goodrich All Terrain tyres, and before I left Cairns I had the suspension and springs replaced using Pedders.
I only did one economy check towing the van between Broome and Port Hedland at 85KPH, when I averaged 8kms / litre. I have 2 fuel tanks carrying a total of about 120 litres. I'm pretty happy with that.
What else would you like to know?
