A good place to do volunteer work

Bloody marvellous, isn't it ? Someone starts a "blue" in an oil rich country, and within minutes up goes the price of fuel, etc etc etc. Anyway, on my last trip through "The Alice" I put in a few months at The National Transport Hall of Fame, which is just south of Alice Springs. The situation THEN, (about three years ago), was a solo traveller put in 15 hours a week, and a couple 20 hours a week. For this you got power and shower, and it gave you mobs of time to have a good look around that magic country. I don't know if the situatuon has changed, but if you are planning to head up that way, contact them. Regards. Pipes.

Hi Pipes, sounds good will definately check it out next time we're there. We're house sitting at the moment it gives us a chance to do all those little things to the van that are hard to do while living in it & paying rent.  Usually we live in the van while house sitting but this time its for friends and have been here 3 months so far and have a couple more to go i think. Painting is a not on with my asthma so Cols had a ball doing whatever he wants, mind you i got a new stove so i'm pretty happy as well.
