Todays booklet which starts tomorrow Thursday 17th. Pages of camping gear.
A couple of things that caught my eye were
 A portable clothesline that folds up and comes in its own bag like a fold up chair. Only 24.99. Stands 145 cm high.

Also Fire blanket 1m x 1m Approved to Australian standards 4.99

Fire Extinguisher 1 kg Australian Standards approved (rated 1A:10B:E) whatever that means 12.99

Car top bag, heatsealed and waterproof 59.00

And an Outdoor First Aid Kit, comes in a waist bag.  35 pc kit includes a thermal blanket 14.99


Some good bargains there, I'm going in to get some myself.

Yes I do don't I Jimbo. Was making my own list when I thought there might be nomads on here who don't have a brochure yet.

Maybe could start selling on Ebay to the ones in SA who don't have their own Aldi Gary and Kerry.

You can buy one that you can Peg into the ground, to stop them blowing over in any wind.
Cost a bit more, but I reckon they're worth it.  My sister has one as well.

You probably could with this one Sheba, there are arms that go out between the legs, so to speak. I'm sure 3 long tent pegs could be enough to hold it down.

Hi Sheba,

We have one of those clothes lines (not the Aldi one), and Pete made us a couple of 'pegs' that fit over the legs and is very sturdy in the ground.

Ours have Metal Circles attatched to the feet, and Long Pegs that go through them.
I imagine all the Camping Stores will have them.  Got mine from Campco if I remember rightly.

One of the (very few) drawbacks to living in WA is no Aldi. I did read recently why this was, but I've forgotten . . . Cheers, Tony

I have even got on to our local minister about Aldi coming to S.A. but no joy from there either did hear that there was legislation that is stopping them from opening in S.A. don't know how true that is though. Son bought us one of those clothes hoists they are great even comes in handy at home if I have a load of washing and not enough room on the clothes line. Helena.

One of the best things about having an Aldi in the town is that the other supermarkets moderate their prices to compete. Its remarkable how the prices can vary from one supermarket to another in the same chain, just because theres some competition.
