The Glass house mountains caravan village is closed due to power & sewage problems, the permanants are still there but no more travellers. This park has been sold to the main roads for the duplication of the Steve Irwin way, so there goes another on.
The next one a little south, [wont mention a name], took one look & no no no. How ever there is another one on the old gympie road just behind the Glass house mts village called Glass house mts camping ground--not in the cav/ park book but just listed in the new camps 6.
A bush background, grass sites , $10 per person with $2.50 for power. This is the site of the QLD Cobb & Co centre.the owner is very pleasent to talk to with a lot of knowledge on the horse & carriage days with a fully restored coach which has done many reinactment trips around the country. He is about to start building a replica 48 seater coach. A quite area & worth a look.

Seems like right around the country an ever increasing number of parks are closing down completely or reinventing themselves into residential villages for permanents only. Must admit there are some out there that should have closed years ago . With the rapid increase in vans / mh and campers it's about to become rather cramped out there in those left
