EDITING

For some reason I cannot add text to previous pics so this is it

My best friend & wife have been touring Tassie for several weeks when it all came to an end yesterday afternoon when the yellow jeep crossed into their path , left them no where to go.

They are very shacken & bruised , but ok. They helped the other female driver out but I dont know of her state,

Both very lucky, & that they didn't have their bush tracka in tow as this is their home.

Just proves that you can do the right thing your self & still loose out.

Moving on tomorrow, will catch up again further up the track.

That confirms my driving policy.
"Drive as carefully as you know how, according to conditions, and allow for the other driver's stupidity".
When we drive out the gate we have no way of knowing if we'll drive back in. There are so many loose canons operating motor vehicles, and who knows what they've taken, drank or shot up. Then there are mental health patients who haven't taken their medication operating vehicles of shapes and sizes.
Tired and grumpy drivers in a variety of vehicles, young drivers who haven't yet developed the driver's wisdom beyond operating the vehicle with ego and mobile phone.
We just never know what we will encounter each outing.
Recently my elderly aunty rammed a stone wall when she reversed rapidly and lost control. The car's a right-off, she had to have some neurological tests to determine if she lost control by reflex accident or because of a medical problem. She was also injured midly, but no one else was hit by her car or the flying rocks.
It just takes a second. Take care out there!

G'day JC, boy oh boy, how lucky are your friends! That Ford 250 is one big vehicle and it looks like a write off with the amount of damage. How all parties got out alive and without serious injuries is amazing.

I suggest it be left to the accident investigators to determine the cause rather than post second hand speculation.

Cheers,

Peter

confuseGeez Peter, you must have had a bad day,!! your responses are usually sensible, but i do not know where your coming from on this one ??

You can watch any TV news service and see a lot more than the couple of pictures from justcruisin, in my opinion i think we need as many reminders as possible that lets us all know that IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE, AT ANYTIME. No one is infallable, I personally drive 60-80000 klm a year and had only one small accident in the last 15 years [ and it was my fault ] So lighten up a little, hope your day gets better, and drive safely.

Regards  dazren

No problems pointing out the risks of travel on the road but deciding who was to to blame is another question entirely.

And that is my opinion, if I am permitted one.

Cheers,
Peter

Well Peter, considering it is a close friend of JC's I would say he knows the facts. Jim is a great member on this forum and I have never known him to try to steer anyone in the wrong direction before.
Its not heresay, its from the horses mouth. no

People do have the right to state an opinion even if they are outspoken .By the way,why do you always park in a puddle?.
