i found that the park at MOUNT DUNEED GEELONG SURFCOAST HWY 3216.it is a very friendly park people with DOGS on leads welcome
all sights have own on suits .r0n

Hi everyone my wife and i are first time post, hope i do this right.

We stayed at the coconut caravan resort in cairns QLD ,it was awsome ,you dont have to leave the park for any entertainment its all their,even their own resteraunt at great prices. I recomend to all very highly.

No its not overly expensive a powered site is 37-45 a night for 2 people. The ensuite site 47-58 a night for 2 people

Isn't the idea to put a new heading for each individual place being recommended, so we can go straight to that one if it interests us.

That's certainly the way I see it as being of most use. When members give a CP a positive comment on the general forum maybe they should consider if it's worth posting a recommendation here as well, as topics get buried rather quickly on the general forum.

I don't feel that people should be discouraged from posting a recommendation for a more "up-market" park if they believe it's worth doing so just because it may be outside the budget or desires of some other members. Individuals can make their own judgments in accordance with their needs and resources.

Yes Jim, that right. Its not just the price that people look for but the service, the surrounds and much more, location, location.
All sorts should be noted to help people find what they are looking for.

i will admit it is a very nice park with everything you could want we stayed they oct last year had a great time, and will also agree with a lot of people that it is a bit on the expencive side but it is a 5star rated park so yes you will pay

We have just returned from Darwin we went for a week, at this park and stayed three months We had entertainment sing song on Sundays outdoor deck chair movies twice a week lovely owners nothing was to much trouble and while we were there a cafe was open with a roast dinner on a Sunday the park is about an hour south of Darwin Tumbling Waters new amenities block was going in as we left

This is a wonderful small caravan park with trees, flowers and only a five minute walk to the town center. Natural parks are an important part of what makes a small town appealing.

What stood out to us was the way the shire is protecting the environment, healthy living, community engagement and it also fits in with the appreciation of natural beauty and outdoor recreation that is part of your identity. This is what really attracts visitors and RV's travelers to a small town like Goomalling. I see this as an important choice for your community.

The rates to stay in the park are really good $20 p/n or 50% discount if you are a member of the CMCA,senior,pensiner,or DVA card holder.

Please except our appreciation for maintaining an excellent facility and I am sure we will stopped again to enjoy Greg and Kaz Dowes hospitality.

Make a point of stopping at Bedrock Caravan Park at Mt Surprise.A nice,clean park with friendly owners.Good spot to make as a base for checking out the local area attractions.

Members keep putting in recommendations but don't specify State and location.

Makes it hard for some of us.

Yes i have,oasis c/park near darwin if you like a bit of heat,owners are gary & ros,on morgan rd,virginia.ph/fax 89831048.Nice and shady most sites, and reasonable price.Family owned i know them personaly.Shopping centre 3klms away with woolies servo. biggrin rvtraveller2 neil

About 15 to 20 minutes drive, easy to find,it is not on the hwy about 20 mtrs off, along morgan rd on the left going towards cbd. rvtraveller2 biggrin biggrin

Mount surprise is in Outback Queensland between Ravenhoe and Georgetown you can do the Lava tube tours from there.While we were there about four yrs ago Enie Dingo was there filming the Gorges and what a friendly man he was joining in the campfire sing song

Sapphire Caravan Park, Sunrise Road, Sapphire Qld. is great - Lee and Norm go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Beautiful setting, great facilities, and definitely not expensive.

Claireview, south of Mackay ( pronounced Mackigh ). Nothing flash to look at but very relaxing and lots of beach to walk on. Possums may visit your tent if you camp in the unpowered area.

Cania used to be OK, but they've installed a water theme park for the kids so you may as well visit the GC.

That caravan park was booked out for today so we stopped at the Blue Gem Tourist Park in Saphire, instead. Its very nice, lovely people, good clean amenities, soft green grass, and productive fossicking near the creek over the back fence.

Saphire (Qld) has two nice caravan parks, a dump point, and lotsa free-camping in the area too! smile

Geemseekers CP at Rubyvale, Central Qld and Barcaldine Tourist Park a little further west are two I would recommend, no problem. Rolleston just south of Emerald is also very good BUT be careful fuel and water-wise travelling from Roma via Injune to Rolleston as after Injune there is no anything; no fuel, no people. The people running these three parks are really homely and make you very welcome. To my wife and I, the managers/owners and ESPECIALLY good shower/toilet facilities MAKE a van park. These facilities at Gemseekers and Barcaldine (especially Barcaldine) are the VERY best. Good travelling.
