BLACKC.OC.KA.TOO BUSH CAMP S.A.

We thoroughly recommend this bush camp.  I know it has been put up here before but it's worth jogging everyone's memories again.

The owners Liz and Ken Yelland are a couple of really top people and very helpful.

They have just won the Naracorte, Business and Tourism award and have the appropriate Certificate and Trophy to go along with it.

The cost is only $7.50 per person per night and Ken will even bring you down some wood for the campfire if you smile nicely at him.

The road in is dirt but it is well maintained and I would even go so far as to say it is a better road than some of the "roads" in other places.

There are hot showers and flushing loos and you can camp almost anywhere you feel like.

There is a large dam where there are yabbies and silver perch and a 3km walking track with a myriad of bird life.

Absolutely first class.

Wow.  This place sounds like just the ticket for settling in for a couple of days, Ma.

I understand it may be chilly in that part of your world near the end of June, so I'm ?planning? (not like I'm doing much of that, so we could say "mulling over") starting in SA and moving from there toward warmer temps.

I'll be bringing a sub-zero-rated sleeping bag and hope to have a heater in whichever campervan I rent, but it is our summer after all, and our winter still doesn't seem to want to let up.  It was gorgeous yesterday, around 21 C, and then in an instant, around 4:30 pm, dropped by 10 degrees and continued dropping.  Today was a whopping 6C!furious

I really appreciate everyone's contributions on this site ... from mice to free parking!  biggrin

Thanks,

Lynne
