I looooove that picture, I think too, because it is one of my favourite places, it made me feel all mellow inside, stunning guys.

Gorgeous pic! Yes, it brings back many memories for me too, Firefly. Before we camped our way around NT, the Kimberley and WA, I saw a pic of the Pentecost River crossing on the Gibb River road on a calendar, and I told hubby that I wanted to see if I could get a similar pic when we were there. I did! I'll see if I can find it again, and post it.

Great shot, used to love camping and fishing on the Pentecost, always guaranteed a good feed of Barra..

If you check near the end of the Broome to Wyndham photo album on our blog you'll see a couple of pics of the Gibb River Road crossing taken in May this year

Cheers

We only went as far as the Penticost River as we have a petrol Landcruiser so wouldn't risk crossing it the way it was then. Lots of signs of major flooding with the banks of streams washed away exposing roots & debris everywhere. We couldn't compare it to another time as it's our first time there but the area was green & stunning, we went into Elquestro with tents after leaving our van at a c/p & camped by the river and it was a so nice,  the surrounding gorges were beautiful & all the waterfalls were flowing well.

Cheers

Jon
