I remember a few years ago I saw this motorhome that looked amazing to me. It actually looked very military like. Got to thinking about it the last few days and finally decided to look them up on the web just to get an idea about them.
Attached is photo of what I'm pretty sure I saw. It's called amesz. No price is mentioned at all though. I'm thinking it's the old story of 'if you have to ask how much then you can't afford it'.
So I'm curious, has anyone ever had one or hired one? Even known anyone who has or had one? Any idea of the price tag?
ran into a bloke and his daughter about 3 yrs ago in Marble Bar, his cost $400 big ones that was second hand and all of his many extras. Winabago probably no different, only not really suited for way way off road.
I think the OKA is a bit cheaper than that, but also Australian made. Will find the Link for you. Here's the first one. this a Unit for Sale. $90.000 .
Was just looking at that too. But still no price tags. alas...no price tag means too much. Anyway I'm not really looking to buy one. Mostly just window shopping.
Oka went back into building trucks etc after the demand for their vehicles was too big to ignore. I don't know if they're still going. Friends of mine who now have the Cooper Creek Homestay at Innamincka, still have theirs, set up, but they slept in swags on the ground. I've know them since 1997 when they came to Anna Plains Station to do some building work and the "girls" helped me around the "farm". I met a fella along the track around Alice Springs who had one of the other 4WD or similar. He brought it out from USA and was travelling around the world with it. Didn't have a very good impression of Oz for some technicality. I hope I changed his opinion, but that remained to be seen. I never came across him again. The vehicle was very striking and you couldn't miss it. It wasn't blue. I just hope you have plenty of cash if you're looking at something like that. I think the Oka would be my preferrred vehicle. Single wheels, good ground clearance, plenty of power, and not too hot on diesel consumption.

To Sheba and everybody else, i apologise profusely for my incorrect information re- oka and amesz vehicles. I will be having stern words with my informant
All Ok mate. I keep telling people. "All you have to do is Google it." Not very often you don't find what you're after. And don't forget the IMAGE Button either.
Cheers,
Sheba.
