They are out there. Safe and happy travels.
What's the rush?
I took about 2 weeks to get to Mt. Isa from Cairns. Take you time if you have it. Enjoy.

Hi rocan, there are some good freecamps, well spaced, in the direction you are traveling. Just consult the Camps book & safe travels.

Regards Terry

I think most of the Grey Nomads are here in WA so you are sure to meet plenty here! Check the timing of school hols in NT, might be wise to stay in Qld for a bit.
Enjoy, Rocan

Starts getting cold at this time of the year from below Carnarvon, the further south (or inland) you go the colder it gets until about September/October.  If you time your trip south of there, the wilflower season inland from Geraldton starts around August, google West Australian Wildflowers on the WA Tourist Information site for dates/locations etc.

Happy travels......

.. winds across the Nullabor have recently been quite variable .. I've crossed it (3) times in the last 20 months ( 2 x E-W, 1 x W-E) and each time the wind was behind me ..

My priority was to enjoy what the trip offers .. and loved it !!
