Moving Nuisance

I have to move.
The pipe which provides water to the site has blown out. The rust just couldn't hold it together anymore. I happened to give it a little nudge on Thursday afternoon and water spurted everywhere.
Last night I was told to be ready to move may van to make it easier for the blokes to get in and replace the pipe.
There's about 1 metre of dirt on top of the concrete slab that holds the plumbing.
So I spent today taking the stands out from under the van, moving things away from the van, and several other jobs to make the move easier.
Hopefully I'll only have to move back on the site about a van length, and then put it back where it is when they're finished doing the repairs.
What a nuisance! I've got settled and hadn't planned on moving any time soon. I'm not moving far. Just enough to be a pain.
That's life.

Oh No CG. When I read the first sentence I thought, But what about all the work you have been doing to the gaden and surrounds. Lets hope they don't make you move permanently.

Me too HW. I don't think so. The site I'm on is long and narrow, so I think moving back about the length of the van will be enough.
It's just the inconvenience factor. Of course the park management offered no assistance in this exercise to make it easier for them.
Anyway it was a chance to go through things and do a bit of maintenance.
It'll be ok, but I get the irrits with these unsettling things, when it's not my choice.
She'll be right!

Take it easy Granny - but what a nuisance having to move such a short distance - be careful with the inside stuff - don'e leave glasses etc on the benchtops etc., and don't forget to lock the fridge door - would be nothikng worse than opening door to have a mess all over the floor.

I only had to back it about 4 metres on the site to make room for the back hoe. It looks like an archeological dig right now. I was hoping they'd find buried treasure, but no bones. All good.
Goes back in place tomorrow.
Bearing in mind I was ordered to be ready by 8am today, the park blokes only turned up at 9 ish, and the plumber has only been here about half an hour. Time now, 3.45pm.
They are going to use the opportunity of the hole to sort out the other plumbing on the site, and the power connection pole which needs maintenance as well.
The park was built in the late 60's, so everything is ready to be replaced.
