Fingers crossed for Cadel, all of you

Hi there, it's almost a fact, the first Australian winner of the Tour de France, Cadel Evans. Sunday is the last stage, normally that is just a bike ride and some quick laps on the Champs Elysee. Congrats to all of you from the Dutch-German border.

Want to see a tough Dutch competitor? Type: 'Johnny Hoogerland crash' in Google and see what happens.

I've been watching it every night...LOVE le Tour de France !!

Sat up and saw him beat the Schlek brothers last night...what a bloody ride ...fabulous.
It is a tradition that the rider who is wearing the yellow jersey on the last day, is the winner as NO ONE will attack him...so, barring any serious accidents, he IS THE WINNER and the first Australian ever to win this prestigious event.

It is classed as being bigger than the Soccer world cup and millions of people around the world watch this event every year (like me)...so for him to win this is nothing short of world class.

WELL DONE CADEL !!!!!!

Welcome Willem. My German isn't very good so I won't try and say g'day.
I think Cadell can be very proud of his achievements, and Australia can be very proud of him. The first Aussie, and the oldest rider to win it in 80 years or so. Bloody amazing!
I'm exhausted just watching sport reports on TV.
Look for you when you're in Oz Willem.
