I met 2 GN today!

I met with Jules and Travel Bug today for a cuppa at Ipswich.

We hit it off right away and didn't pause for breath for about 2 hours!

I think there'll be a few more 'cuppas' in the future. What say you 'ladies'?! wink

Pam, Are you too tired to talk? All you can manage is YEP!!

Must have been a great day, wish I was there.

Won't be long now until Myrtle gets home....then there will be many get togethers!

(The "YEP" is probably the shortest sentence ever spoken (or written) by me....
I come from a long line of talkers  smile )

It was a great day and we chatted away like old mates until we all had to leave.

Can you imagine when we get to Gunbower Island???  biggrin  biggrin  biggrin

I don't know what you've done to Jules but she hasn't had the energy to come on here since. Still resting in the peace and quiet of home.

Marj, you know Jules...

She had "places to go...people to see"   smile

I'm sure we'll hear from her later on.

Only nice things Marj. We were wishing you were there too. And we talked about Gunbower. I'm envious now, sounds like it'll be a lot of fun.

And Jonathon, were your ears burning too?

Nice was the word I used for you too. wink

I'm here - thanks for a great "cuppa" Pam and Beth - and yes it would have been great if you had been there Marj, and you too Jonathon. Felt like a meeting with old friends - think we could have talked for another two hours or more!!!

And yes, I had people to see, places to go - to the Boonah showgrounds to meet up with a couple of travellers, Brian and Geri - driving a bus, towing a Jayco caravan, with their two daughters. Geri drives a car towing a trailer - they are from Victoria, used to be at caravan park in Portland. Lovely people, good to meet them.

See you all soon!!

Nobody has asked you who you were talking to Jonathan.

It was me, it was me. And Ken Thomas with his wife Lyn.

Had a lovely couple of hours chatting.

yes Marj ..

quite surprised no-one asked .. was a great couple of hours .. thoroughly enjoyed the company !

.. and Jules ..

yes, back on sort of .. Dear Mum is terminally ill but not letting it get to her .. so much so that she is still driving about locally ..

On the road again .. as it feels that I was only hanging around for the obvious .. but still in regular contact should circumstances change.

.. to Parkes NSW .. then Sydney .. and if all still ok, will head up to Tweed Heads before heading back down ..

mind you .. all still subject to change

Jon

and .. hoping to go out to Gunbower on Monday for a bit of a look around ..

Goodo - have a great trip - Tweed Heads is pretty nice - got a friend with a unit at Tweed South - belonged to the family forever - like walking into a time warp - but love going there - I am only 110 k from Gold Coast -
Take care

I have a cousin in Murwillumbah, so I've been to the Tweed area quite a bit.

Kingscliffe is particularly nice, although I hear it's in a bit of a mess, with the erosion of the beach.

Yes .. my eldest lad and his wife moved there last xmas .. I can hardly wait to go fishin' with him again .. and they both love it there!

I know where you are Jules .. will see how my time-line goes between now and then.

I'm hoping to also stop in at Ballina for some work to be done on my MH .. but that is stilll only in the planning stage ..
