Gday...

Just travelled the Capricorn Hwy about two weeks ago - Westwood, Dingo, Blackwater, Emerald. Roadwords are happening but not particularly disruptive. It is great to see the QLD roads being given the attention.

Having said that, the Capricorn Hwy is in excellent condition from Emerald to Barcaldine. A pleasure to drive.

Cheers

John

Thanks for the info about the roadworks, Sheba.  Just to let you all know, we have deleted most of the posts that followed on this string and have closed the thread.  Unfortunately, the discussion went off topic and into politics with emotions running high.  As most of you know, we try to avoid political debates  on this forum as they tend to get heated and can become unpleasant.  The strength of this forum is its happy, upbeat and welcoming tone.  As we’ve previously mentioned, we like to focus on making this an inclusive place for members to provide advice and exchange stories about preparing for and travelling around Australia ... and to have a bit of fun and friendly banter along the way. Thanks for your understanding.
