Picturesque drive near Sydney?

I have a vague recollection of a picturesque drive along the coastline including a newish roadway & possibly bridge in the Sydney area.

Possibly only constructed in the last 10yrs or so.

The views are supposed to be spectacular.

If it exists I want to include it in my forthcoming trip back up the coast to Qld.

Does anybody know of such a drive?

Cupie, the only new bit with a bridge that I can think of is the on the south coast of sydney down north of Woolongong, there is a bridge section along the edge of the surf/beach where some of the old road way colapsed some time back. We have been along it & its very good, parking at one end so you can walk it as well.

Grand Pacfic Drive I think is the one you are after. A most enjoyable drive.

Thank you both  .. This is exactly what we were looking for.

I have downloaded the brochure & saved the website so I can study it at leisure & include that drive into the plan.

Thanks again  .. G

We did that drive about 2 years ago, without the van, after picking up the Brochure at Wisemans Ferry.

Windsor-Wisemans Ferry-Central Mangrove (route #36)-is also a good scenic drive (again we were without the van) then eventually back to town to our Caravan Park via the freeway.

Great coastal beaches north of Wollongong, Camping C/Ps grounds at Coledale, Bulli, Corrimal. Do not forget to continue south to Kiama, a very scenic spot.

Once again  .. Thanks all ... Good input to my rough plan.  Will stick to the coast as much as possible but will probably go round the Sydney CBD via Windsor.
