Hey Cindy,

Just had a quick look at the new Nomad Times - looks great, and will get back to read it soon. Tell me if you wouldn't mind, is there a way I can download it to read later?

Ta and thank you, and most of all congratulations!!

Hi Pejay,

Click where it says "Click here to view your PDF Newsletter".

At the top left hand side of the window that opens, click "file".

In the drop down menu click "Save as".

You can then save in "My Documents" to read later.

Hope this is clear.

Cheers. Pam. smile

Congratulations from me too Cindy.  See Vic is your first "character".

I printed this one.  Gotta give the new Printer some practice.   A little bit wierd.  This one prints the last page first.

Can't wait for the next edition.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Was rapt when I received the first edition - job well done. Know how much work goes into putting together something like that. Keep up the good work.

I liked the newsletter.

As a suggestion to the editor, where there are articles on nomads could they be encouraged to comment on their learning as nomads, which is always useful to others. Why did they get into the (nomadic) lifestyle, did their original goals/strategies change and if so why, what rig/s do they think are best suited to others in their circumstances and why, what would they do differently if they had known what they know now? I am sure a short list of leads/headings could be sorted.

Speaking for myself, like many who come to this forum i am looking to take advantage of the solutions, wisdom and practical experience of others, while hopefully contributing something useful myself. I am proposing to come back to a nomadic lifestyle, or will that be just three - six month trips a year, after being away from the lifestyle for my married life. I came from the country and always enjoyed basic camping which I combined with fishing and other activities. I got into caravans very early - all full size and from 17 - 22 ft and lived for some years in them by choice while on a very reasonable wage. Since then, while some things stay the same, a lot has changed.

I can't open it. I clicked on 'click here to view' and another window opened but was blank. It even said 'google:blank' in the  search box. Nowhere to click on file to save it Pam.

confuse

I had no trouble opening mine. Will go have another look Beth t osee what you mean.
I understand how hard it is to put together a newsletter, having spent nearly a year doing a 6 page newsletter at an over 50s lifestyle village. First on computer then printing out and delivering to 95 houses. It included a calender of events, news, competitions, contributions from other residents etcetc.
Hard work, wouldn't want to do it again. Great job Cindy.

It opens first go for me, on the PDF thing.
Just been reading again, My first reaction to the quiz, the first one, I would have answered Inskip Point. Shows you how wrong you can be.

Hi guys,

Thanks everyone for the kind words and I am glad you enjoyed the newsletter. I will take on your board your suggestions, Johng. Thanks for the input.  And, please, anyone who has any thoughts about what they would like to see more of in future editions, drop me a line.

Thanks Wombat for the PDF reader suggestion. I was thinking along the same lines. If any of you have Adobe Reader or Acrobat program or any other PDF reading software and still have problems you might look at this link for other possible explanations and solutions.  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/836/cpsid_83688.html
Please let me know if you find anything here that solves the problem ...  and it might help others in the same boat. Thanks again everybody.

Hi John, mine as you all probably know was the first story, the editor gave me a number of prompts to reply to and this was the basis for the editor to write the article.  Your suggestions will certainly help Cindy to refine the prompt questionaire.

Bear in mind too that space in the article is limited and some bits need to be edited (like mine was) to suit the size of the article.   I would have liked the pics to have been a bit clearer, this might have something to do with the quality/pixels etc of the photo's used.

Based on your past experiences, whether old or not, it sounds like you would have a good story to tell I am sure Cindy would welcome a story from you.  Like most of us I really enjoy a good story.
