New Tug !!

Gidday All, well i have to tell you sometime Yay i got a new car smilebiggrinsmilebiggrin

It is a new Holden Colarado Ltr 2wd Twin cab  3.6 ltr Factory fitted Duel/Fuel Fully optioned with ARB Canopy, H/DTY 2500 Kg tow pack and all the other goodies to make it look good, I know a lot of you are thinking why not diesel ??? well i did drive the colarado diesel, and also the Triton and the challenger, But I have been a Duel Fuel man for many years and could not convert, As for the 2wd, the colarado only comes in 4wd with the diesel engine, But the 2wd has the same ground clearance as the 4wd, and i am not a ''outback'' traveller anyway, and this will handle any of the dirt roads that i would be likely to tackle, cannot post any pictures yet ! [ as i have not got any ] Also cannot give any accurate figures yet on fuel consumption as i have to run 2 tanks of petrol before i start running it on LPG, [ I have only done 400k so far and topped up the tank and it took 48 Ltrs, so that was 12 Ltrs p/100, i was happy with that. however i will keep you all informed, Meanwhile it is quite, smooth, comforable, and looks fantastic in silver, Well vehicle sorted, NOW for the van ?? Oh i feel headaches coming on !!  See Ya's  Dazren

Congratulations Dazren- sounds like you got exactly what you wanted.

We just got our Ford territory- and have done our first 400kms - maybe we are twins - but ours is red (goes faster!)

its interesting to compare fuel economy at this stage - too early to hang your hat on though. Ours is diesel, and we got 9.1/100kms- and it was a mix of traffic conditions. I'm pretty pleased and hope it holds up.

wink Congrats to you to Rip and Rosie, I also looked at the Territory and was impressed if I went diesel i might have went that way, but i have always been a happy duel fuel man, especially now that it is [ injected gas ] the only problem i had with the Territory was the Model my wife liked, my Wallet hated biggrin from what i hear your consumption should be around the 9 to 11 ltr/ per 100, which is pretty good for a vehicle that size But i do not know if the Red ones will use the same seeing as they go faster biggrinbiggrin

Happy travels to you both   dazren

That's exciting! It's always exciting when we get a new or secondhand vehicle.
The time will come when I can afford a V8 4.5 turbo diesel Landcruiser or Troop Carrier. I'll need a lot more pilot work, but my day will come. I'm very optimistic. I reckon I have another 2 years with Rosy.

Just returned from central coast  & also now have 400ks on our new Territory diesel.

In my 50 yrs of driving, this vehicle would be one of the  best.

Early days as yet, still waiting on H/D tow bar, hitch etc to be fitted.

Those of you who rubbished the Territory obviously havent driven the new model.

With my experience, I am pretty sure I have made the right decision.

My choice, good or bad, Just as those of you who chose Jeep yawn

Dick.
